Ash Bartys 2017 Wimbledon campaign is over after for another year.
First Nations woman Barty crashed out of the singles in the first round but progressed to the doubles finals with Casey Dellacqua before going down to Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina 6 – 4, 4 – 6, 6 – 4.
The Aussies came roaring back into the match in the second set but Barty says failure to take their chances was the difference in the end.
