When 18 year old Gold Coast Sun recruit Callum Ah Chee (pictured) sat down for dinner on Friday night, it was with the knowledge that he’d be lining up for the Suns reserves side in the NEAFL clash with the Lions on saturday afternoon.
An hour later, he was on the phone with family and friends in advising them to get to the airport to watch him make his AFL debut as a late replacement for Kade Kolodjashni.
Ah Chee’s first kick was also his first goal in AFL footy and he hopes that if he is retained in the Suns side to take on the Dockers in the west on Sunday afternoon, there’ll be plenty more friends and family in the stands.
