First Nations people from around the world will come together for this year’s upcoming World Indigenous Housing Conference.

The conference will be held in Queensland at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 20 – May 24th and is hosted by the National Congress of Australia’s First Peoples with the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Housing Authority.

The conference will provide delegates from around the world an important forum in which to discuss the housing needs of the world’s Indigenous peoples and develop practical frameworks and strategies to address these needs.

CEO of the National Congress of Australia’s First Peoples, Gary Oliver says Australia is a long way behind in housing Australia’s first people.
