The Deputy Chair of the Death in Custody Watch Committee says there has been no accountability for those responsible for the 2014 death in custody of a Yamatji woman in South Hedland.
Last week the West Australian coroner Ros Fogliani handed down her findings following an inquest into the death in custody of 22 year old Ms Dhu who was detained for unpaid fines.
Ms Fogliani ruled her death could have been avoided if her infection was diagnosed and treated and that her treatment was unprofessional and inhumane.
Bibbulmun man and deputy chair of the committee, Mervyn Eades says the coroners findings are tokenism.
