The newly elected member for Barton says her constituents see a lack of sincerity and a lack of good faith in our political conversations.
The comment comes following continued efforts to amend the Racial Discrimination Act by Liberal senator Corey Bernardi, who is expected to table a motion in parliament today.
The motion will seek to remove the words “insult “and “offend” from section 18C of the RDA in a move that has reportedly claimed support by up to 20 senators.
