The governing body of the Yidindji people in far north Queensland welcome the reappointment of Malcom Turnbull as Prime Minister and are encouraging his Government to build a relationship with their people.

Tribal foreign minister, Murrumu Walubara Yidindji says they want the Government to sit at the table with their people to work out agreements to provide longevity and validity of law to the commonwealth of Australia.

He says the Yidindji and Commonwealth Governments need to sit down as separate parties and work out how each side can exist together.
