In the Top End remote polling has begun, with 130 voters in the remote community of Bulman in central Arnhem Land set to cast their votes for the federal election.
Over the next two weeks 38 remote polling teams will travel to more than 400 remote communities in Australia.
The Federal Division of Lingiari covers more than 1.3 million square kilometres in the Territory, and has been held by Labor MP Warren Snowdon for the majority of its existence.
Mr Snowdon says there is a significant under-enrolment, particularly in the younger age groups.
