A First Nations pastor has questioned the Australian Christian Lobby’s commitment to social justice, during an appearance on ABC’s Q&A program last night.
While acknowledging churches had been more active in speaking out on social issues in recent years, Gurang Gurang Pastor Ray Minniecon hit out at the ACL’s Lyle Shelton for not supporting First Nations people in the face of the Governments Northern Territory Intervention.
He also says vilifying First Nations people when they speak out creates a divide in communities.
