A First Nations family violence worker has welcomed a report by the Victorian Royal Commission into Family Violence but calls for recommendations to be implemented nationally.
There are 227 recommendations stemming from the report, some of which include having culturally appropriate services for men women and children, and better funding for interpreters.
Kuku Yalanji woman and CEO of the Aboriginal Family Violence Prevention and Legal Service Victoria, Antoinette Braybrook told SBS, the federal government needs to take the recommendations the rest of Australia.
