Thursday marked the official launch for the Yes campaign for an Indigenous Voice to Parliament, with an event held in Adelaide.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has announced the referendum will be held sometime between October and December – advocates for the Indigenous Voice to Parliament hoping for a victory in what could be the first successful referendum result since 1977.
Speaking to ABC Newsbreakfast, Semara Jose from Deadly Inspiring Youth Doing Good says the launch marks an important step for the Yes Campaign and serves as a launching point for campaigners to get out into the community.
