A founding chair of the Stronger Smarter Institute says the absence of a treaty creates a situation where First Nations people’s humanity is not recognised in an honorable way.

Talking at the Men speak out for Treaty forum in Sydney Last Night, Chris Sarra says the lack of recognition of our humanity creates circumstances where people escape consequences for wrongdoings against our people.

He says a treaty can provide the recognition of First Nations humanity, while also forming a new relationship.
