BGASKETBALL – The WNBL will bid fare well to one of Australian basketballs all time greats on Saturday.

35 year old Rohannee Cox (pictured) will call time on her celebrated national career on Saturday night when the Sydney University Flames take on the Perth Lynx in a must win match for the Flames.

Regardless of the result, Cox’s standing in the game will see her remembered as Australian basketballs first Indigenous Olympic medallist as a member of the Opals side that won silver at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

The former All Star and WNBL MVP has struggled with injury in a season which saw her play her 300th game last month.

Cox will be joined in retirement by fellow basketball great Lauren Jackson, who is hopeful she’ll be fit enough to make one last Olympic appearance at Rio later this year
