NRL – The Womens Indigenous All Stars are every chance of breaking their duck on Saturday night when they play the main curtain raiser at Lang Park.
With the crowd expected to peak at around 40 000 by the time the men game starts, the First Nations women go up against an All Stars side that will be without two Jillaroos players who’ve been forced to withdraw through injury.
Coach Dean Widders (pictured) has been a driving force behind the scenes for the All Stars games and he says, despite the focus on the mens game, the curtain raiser is rapidly becoming a vital part of the Women rugby league calendar.
