A record 17,500,000 Australians are set to vote in the upcoming referendum, with 75,000 registering on the electoral roll in the first three months of the year.
As of March 31, more than 97 per cent of eligible Australians were registered to vote, with the number expected to grow in the coming months.
The referendum to enshrine an Indigenous advisory body in the Constitution is due between October and December.
The number of unregistered voters has dropped slightly to just over 500,000.
The Australian Electoral Commission is also working to quell misinformation during the referendum.
The potential impact of foreign interference during the election will also go under the microscope on Thursday.
