Thousands of people gathered in major cities around the country yesterday to take part in Invasion Day rallies and marches.

The overwhelmingly peaceful rallies took place throughout the morning with a handful of arrests taking place in Sydney after some breaches of COVID health orders.

In Melbourne a large crowed gathered at Parliament House despite wet weather and a strong police presence.

Activist and Gumbainggir man Gary Foley addressed the crowd and said the country was at a changing point.
