Indigenous communities are being urged to participate in an online survey to help create an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led organisation to hold the NSW government accountable for Closing The Gap.
The NSW Coalition of Aboriginal Peak Organisations (CAPO) survey has been informed by meetings held with NSW Indigenous communities last year, and asks respondents to answer questions regarding the hypothetical organisation’s:
•Role (what it’s purpose will be)
•Features (what the orginisation could look like)
•Tools (how should the organisation do its job)
•Structure (what body should it sit in).
Following the survey’s completion NSW CAPO will make recommendations to the the Closing the Gap Joint Council and NSW Government.
NSW community members can find out more about the survey here.
