Dylan Walkers (pictured) off season move to Manly had paid off with the 21 year olds selection in Laurie Daleys team for Origin Game One next week.
Walkers selection has drawn criticism from a number of quarters with his Manly side not exactly playing the house down in 2016.
Daley though says Walker’s selection was always on the cards following his time with the Blues squad in last years losing series.
