Billy Slater has successfully negotiated his return to the game after almost 2 full seasons on the sideline.

After an extended period out of the game due to consecutive shoulder surgeries, Slater played a vital role in the Storms last gaps 14 – 12 defeat of Brisbane and showed enough to suggest he’s more than capable of getting back to his brilliant best.

The 33 year old (pictured) looked a constant threat with the ball in hand in his 50 minutes of game time and he says while he felt nervous going into the match and a bit rusty while on the field, he’s relieved to have got through his first game and can’t wait for the next.
