England coach Wayne Bennett (pictured) has defended himself from attacks from the UK media on the eve of his teams must win game against Australia on Sunday.

With not one member of his team having played in a winning team against the Kangaroos, the pressure is on Bennett to convince his charges they have what it takes to beat Australia and move on to the final of the Four Nations tournament.

Bennett has been the subject of criticism of his short form answers to questions from media but the coach says, after a coaching career that started back in the 70‘s, he has nothing to defend and nothing to prove.
