Following the recent announcement of this year’s NAIDOC theme: Heal Country! The 2021 National NAIDOC poster competition and awards nominations are now open.
NAIDOC Week celebrations will once again be held nationally in July, after last year’s celebrations were postponed till November due to uncertainties around the coronavirus pandemic.
The National NAIDOC committee encourages all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists aged 13 years or older to submit an artwork that reflects the 2021 theme: Heal Country!
The winning artist will receive a $10,000 cash prize and be recognized across the country on the 2021 National NAIDOC poster.
The National NAIDOC Committee Co-Chair, John Paul Janke also invites nominations for the 2021 National NAIDOC Awards which have remained open from last year, after the 2020 awards were cancelled.
Award winners will be honoured during NAIDOC Week at the National NAIDOC Awards in Mparntwe (Alice Springs) in July 2021.
Nominations for the National NAIDOC Awards close on Monday 22 March 2021, while entries for the poster competition close at 5:00pm (AEDST) Monday 8 March 2021.
