Opposition leader Peter Dutton has confirmed he is aware of a third accusation against Senator David Van.
Van was removed from the Liberal Party room after Senator Lidia Thorpe and former Liberal senator Amanda Stoker both made allegations of sexual harassment against him.
Senator Thorpe spoke in parliament in Thursday about what she described as unsafe environment of Parliament House.
Speaking to Nine’s Today show on Friday, the Liberal leader confirmed there was a separate allegation to the ones that had been made public.
Senator Thorpe says her allegations weren’t taken seriously until Ms Stoker came forward.
