A 41-year-old Sydney man has been charged for allegedly making online threats against Stan Grant.
It comes after the ABC journalist made a complaint to NSW police and announced this week he would be stepping down from his role as presenter for Q&A due to a barrage of racist abuse.
In a statement police said the man was arrested in Fairfield Heights on Wednesday evening and charged with using a service to “threaten serious harm and…menace/harass/offend”.
In his final appearance on the ABC show on Monday, Grant also took aim at the “poison” of the media which he said was “part of the problem.”
