A Warlpiri elder is calling for mob across the country to join in on a national day of action against police brutality on October 26.

It comes ahead of the next hearing into the death of Kumanjayi Walker, where Judge John Birch is expected to give his decision on whether he will dismiss the murder charge against Constable Zachary Rolfe.

At the last hearing, Constable Rolfe’s defence filed a “no-case submission” claiming that the officers’ actions were made in self-defence.

Ned Jampijinpa Hargraves says on October 26, they will be standing up to say enough is enough and everyone else is invited to do the same.

Mr Hargraves also says they will be having a memorial and concert on the 13th of October ahead of Kumanjayi Walker’s funeral on the 17th.
