Here’s a list if you want to get along to an Invasion Day/Survival Day events across the country.

The following events are all free.

Sydney

March

Mob will gather on Gadigal Land at 10:00 AM in Belmore Park, Haymarket.

The march will honour our survival, demand justice and fight for the liberation of all First Nations people.

Yabun 2025

When: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Where: Victoria Park, Broadway, Gadigal Land

This free event has been acknowledging the survival of Aboriginal cultures and identity on 26 January for over 20 years.

There are stalls, music, traditional dancing and much more that attracts large crowds each year.

Who’s playing? Troy Cassar-Daley, Baarka, Electric Fields, No Fixed Address and many more.

Brisbane

March

The Invasion Day protest in Brisbane is expected to kick off at 10am local time at Queens Gardens.

Melbourne

March

Mob in Melbourne will be gathering at Parliament House on Spring St at 10am.

Share the Spirit Invasion Day festival

When: 11:30 AM
Where: Treasury Gardens, 2-18 Spring Street, Naarm

The Share the Spirit Invasion Day festival will kick off with the theme of Keep The Fire Burning following the march.

It will celebrate culture and connection with Indigenous music to carry on well into the night.

Everyone in the community is encouraged to join in for music, food and a great day together in the sun.

Hobart

On Invasion Day in Nipaluna/Hobart, mob will meet at 198 Elizabeth St. The march to the Parliament Lawns will start at 11:30.

Devonport

There will also be an Invasion Day march in Limilinaturi/Devonport at 11:30am from the Tulaminakali Health Service with mob to rally at Market Square at 12pm.

Adelaide

January 26 in Adelaide will kick off with Mourning in the Morning and a Smoking Ceremony.

When: 7:30 AM – 8:45 AM
Where: Elder Park/Tarntanya Wama, King William Street, Adelaide

Mob will gather at 7.30am for a welcome to Kaurna country.

It’ll also include First Nations speakers, musicians, dancers, and interactive activities.

The event will end with a smoking ceremony by Elder Uncle Moogy Sumner.

Survival Day Tandanyangga

When: 26 January 2025, 12:00 PM
Where: Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga

The official Tandanyangga Survival Day event will be hosted by Ngarrindjeri, Narungga, Kaurna and Noongar woman Natasha Wanganeen.

The event will include speakers and live performances.

People from all backgrounds are encouraged to take part.

Perth

Day of Mourning Ceremony

There will be a ceremony hosted by Greens Senator Dorinda Cox at Victoria Gardens Foreshore from 9am.

March

The march is set for 12pm AWST at Forrest Chase in the CBD.

Birak Concert

When: 3:00 – 7:30 PM
Where: Supreme Court Gardens, 2 Barrack Street

The Birak Concert is a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

The event will include local and interstate stage performances, community stalls, workshops and a live radio broadcast.

There are activities for children including face painting, colouring and giant inflatables.

Canberra

The Aboriginal Tent Embassy has organised a Sovereignty Day rally at 9:30am from Garema Place.

Darwin

Ceremony

Larrakia People have organised a smoking ceremony from 7:45am at Darwin Waterfront Lagoon.

There will be storytelling and performances.

Community Gathering

There will be a community gathering at 12 Smith Street.
