An online yarning circle offered by Queensland University of Technology Online is helping to embed First Nations perspectives into the students learning journey.
First Nations lecturers developed the Digital Yarning Circle which launched alongside the Online Graduate Certificate in Indigenous Education in 2020.
Students participating in the course are encouraged to engage with the online yarning circle to discuss concepts and topics that are brought up throughout the week.
Wuthathi woman and online learning advisor, Shanelle Fiaalii says the yarning circle is having a positive impact on the performance of students.
