The head of the national peak for First Nations child care and protection says governments need to apply more emphasis on Indigenous child placement principals.

The comment comes in the wake of Sorry Day and Reconciliation Week and is driven by the fear of another Stolen Generation.

While our children make up only 5.5 per cent of the country’s child population, they make up almost 40 per cent of all children in out of home care.
