An Indigenous education provider is making tracks transforming First Nations studies, with one Victorian school preparing to implement the initiative in the near future.

Indigicate was officially launched in February to offer outdoor education including camp programs embedded within an Indigenous curriculum.

The group’s scope is set to expand as it develops a classroom-based curriculum for Beconhills College.  The Melbourne school is eager to embed the content throughout all levels from pre-school to grade 12.

Founder of Indigicate Waka Waka man, Shawn Andrews, says they teach things that, while confronting, needs to be taught to children.
