AFL – The Richmond AFL club have honoured top draft pick Daniel Rioli (pictured) by handing him the No. 17 guernsey that was worn with such great distraction by his great  uncle Maurice Rioli.

Maurice Rioli won two Jack Dyer medals, a Norm Smith medal  and was runner up in the Brownlow Medal while wearing the number during his celebrated career at the Tigers.

Daniel, who calls Maurice his grandfather, says that after consulting with his family, he is thrilled to be honoured in such a way by the club.
