BMX – Ten year old Chelsea McLeod (pictured) is using her prowess as a BMX rider to travel the country and increasingly the world.

McLeod, who lives in the outback mining town of Glenden in North Queensland is currently ranked second in Queensland despite living over 100km’s from the nearest BMX track.

Chelsea’s father Thane, who identifies as First Nations and South Sea Islander says he couldn’t be prouder of his daughter whose exploits have seen her become an inspiration for young indigenous girls across Australia.

After competing at her second  World Championships in Europe in July, the next challenge for Chelsea is the 2016 Australian titles to be held in Bathurst in February where she’ll attempt to improve on last years 5th place.
