RUGBY LEAGUE – Newly appointed Australian rugby league coach Mal Meninga (pictured) sees the job as an opportunity to replicate his success with Queensland at an international level.

Meninga comes into the position of coaching the Kangaroos with the national team at its lowest point in years and on the verge of falling to No. 3 in the world behind New Zealand and Great Britain.

Meninga took on the Queensland coaching job with the Maroons at a similarly low level after consecutive series defeats at the hands of New South Wales and says he believes the systems he put in place while at the helm of the Maroons will be instrumental in returning Australia to its place at the top of the international rugby league tree.
