PARALYMPICS – The Australian Paralympic committee is hoping for more Indigenous Paralympians to come forward and be recognized by the National Centre for Indigenous Excellence in Sydney.
With the likes of Kevin Coombes and Tracey Barrell already recognized at the centre, the hunt is on for more athletes to be honoured for their contributions to the Australian sporting landscape.
Barrell (pictured), a double gold medallist at the Barcelona Games in 1992 told the ABC it’s a wonderful way for Indigenous Paralympians to be remembered.
