A win over Angelique Kerber will see Murri woman Ash Barty into the semi finals of the WTA Elite Trophy tournament.
Currently the highest ranked Australian woman in world tennis, Barty (pictured) was far too good for Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in her best display in the tournament so far, blasting nine aces past the Russian to win in straight sets 6 – 4, 6 – 1.
The win sees Barty’s world ranking jump to 20 and on the verge of a place in the worlds top 16.
