With the Holiday season quickly approaching, Indigenous helpline 13 Yarn is gearing up for a busy period.
The helpline is preparing for its first Christmas period by ensuring that workers are available 24/7 to pick up the phone to help First Nation’s People struggling this holiday season.
13 YARN’s National Manager Marjorie Anderson says that a big reason for the rise in calls is loneliness, and to get involved and invite anyone whose spending Christmas alone to our holiday gatherings.
