This week is Get Ready Queensland Week (10 to 16 October 2021) which means it’s time for all Queenslanders to Get Ready for the upcoming severe weather season.
The Bureau of Meteorology has predicted wetter than average conditions this year due to the formation of a La Niña in the tropical Pacific, meaning we need to expect and prepare for a diverse range of weather events including floods, cyclones, severe storms and bushfires.
Get Ready Queensland ambassador, Johnathan Thurston, said it is essential that all Queenslanders take these three steps to Get Ready.
