The Chief Executive of the National Aboriginal and Islander Legal Service says Governments need to work with our mob on rehabilitative solutions to crime.

The comment comes amid the release of the Royal Commission’s recommendations on how to best improve the handling of youth within the system.

While youth justice and protection in the Northern Territory has been heavily scrutinised since revelations of abuse in detention centres, similar concerns have also been raised in other jurisdictions.
