St George Illawarras Indigenous All Star forward Joel Thompson (pictured) has offered his support to former Dragon centre Matt Cooper.
Cooper shocked the rugby league world this week after admitting himself to hospital to deal with his addiction to painkillers.
Cooper says the addiction to the opioid painkiller is related to a number of spinal injuries and Thompson says he’s relieved that former Origin star is now in a position to receive help.
