South Sydney star Sam Burgess (pictured)  has been cleared of any serious neck or spinal damage after being stretchered from the field in Souths two point loss to the Dragons on Sunday.

Burgess was left lying motionless on the ground after charging into the St George defence and ducking his head as he entered contact.

Skipper Greg Inglis says it’s a relief to hear that the big forward has been given the all clear after what was a scary time for teammates and fans alike.
