Reports have emerged from the UK indicating that Wallabies and Waratahs star Kurtley Beale (pictured)  is close to signing with London club Wasps.

The two year deal, reportedly worth $1.35 million a season would see Beale become the highest paid player in the English premiership.

Beale has never been shy about expressing his interest in a stint in European rugby and his excellent World Cup form has seen increased interest in Beale from rich European clubs.

The potential move to England wouldn’t prohibit Beale from continuing to play for the Wallabies though, as the 60 test Koori veteran qualifies for international duties under the Giteau law.

The move to Wasps, if it comes off would see Beale join Matt Giteau as Australias highest paid Rugby player.
