A 29-year-old Indigenous man has been fatally shot by police during a domestic violence call-out in Brisbane’s north.

Officers were called to the Grange address on Sunday afternoon following reports the man had threatened to stab a family member.

A 53-year-old man was found with a stab wound and the 29-year-old with a knife, police said.

They said the man later lunged at police and was shot three times.

All officers at the scene will be questioned by Queensland police’s ethical standards command and an investigation will be launched.
