Traditional Owners in Arnhem Land are calling for an end to commercial fishing in their waterways amid concerns of a decline in sea life.

Locals in Maningrida say a decline in fish and sea mammal numbers have made it a challenge to feed their families.

Julius Kernan says their catch rate has dramatically declined despite fishing every day.

He says they are affected by outsiders making themselves rich on his country.
