Kokatha man Shaun Burgoyne (pictured) says he will continue to take it one season at a time as he prepares for the 2017 AFL season with Hawthorn.

With the loss of Sam Mitchell and Jordan Lewis in the off season, all of Burgoynes poise and experience will be needed as the Hawks set their sights on another top four finish.

The Hawks have shown there is no room for sentimentality with the departure of the premiership stars and 319 gamer Burgoyne says with that in mind, he’s not looking beyond the new season, at this stage at least.
