Our Live n Deadly mix of music, news, community information and discussion draws a wide audience of listeners from AustraliaÌ¢âÂã¢s largest population of Aboriginal people, the many other First Nations people who have called Sydney home and ordinary Australians who share our tastes in music and our cultural views.
Koori Radio’s 50kW transmitter reaches beyond the Blue Mountains in the west, the Central Coast in the north, and Wollongong in the south.
Through Kr00 Koori Radio Digital our broadcast ability has expanded considerably with words and images. At Kr00.com.au coming by August 2012 you can tune into streaming radio live, meet the broadcasters and musicians who make it happen and find out whatÌ¢âÂã¢s on and when through our schedule and calendar.
As a licensed community broadcaster, Koori Radio operates within the Broadcasting Services Act. We also observe the community radio code of practice. Additionally we have our own code of conduct covering all broadcasters, staff, board, volunteers, members and associate members. We are a member of the Community Broadcasters Association of Australia (CBAA), the Australian Indigenous Communications Association (AICA), the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC), the Australiasian Performing Rights Association (APRA), the Copyright Agency Limited (CAL), the Reconciliation Australia initiated Media Ring and the Redfern Chamber of Commerce.
