The Western Australian Indigenous Affairs Minister says if there is a royal commission into First Nations suicide, it won’t tell us anything we don’t already know.

There have been 17 suicides in First Nations communities within the last three months with the last believed to be a 10 year girl.

Many concerned community workers and residents have backed calls for a royal commission on the issue to assist in addressing the crisis.

Indigenous Affairs Minister Peter Collier says the issue is in service delivery.
